Algunos Graciosos, Algunos No

Algunos Graciosos, Algunos No is Andy Pacino’s first collection of poetry and as the title suggests, some of the works are funny, and sometimes they are not so. Andy has been writing poetry for as long as he can remember, and his initial poems made their way into his lyrical collection for when he fronted the Manchester band, Lloyd Almighty. He saw lyrics as poems set to music, which certainly isn’t a new idea or theory. Algunos offers 70 poems ranging from the love of football to the futility of war, and what happens when half a dozen butterflies appear in your bedroom overnight. This is relatively a playful collection, although serious issues such as parental alienation, spousal abuse, desertion and the longing for a love from a missing parent make for an all-round blend of emotion.
